Tim Sager, of the South Central Wisconsin Move to Amend organization, will talk about the fallout from the U.S. Supreme Court Citizens United ruling which declared that money is speech and that corporations have the same “personhood” constitutional rights as citizens. This controversial ruling has resulted in a huge spike in corporate contributions to political campaigns at all levels. So what can be done about it? Sager will describe in detail what Wisconsin communities – from townships to counties – are doing.
