Help Finance - School Garden!

kids gardenHELP FINANCE A SCHOOL GARDEN FOR RIVER VALLEY SCHOOLS A new action-oriented team of folks from Sauk and Iowa Counties, under the umbrella of Grassroots, is working together on local environmental and sustainability issues.   Their first project is a major improvement of the River Valley School District garden, under the direction of Erik Johnson, Conservation Science and Biology teacher – one of the team members.   They need your help to raise the funds.  Please send your checks made out to RIVER VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT, with Classmunity Garden Campaign in the memo line.  Mail the checks to Erik Johnson, River Valley High School, 660 Varsity Blvd, Spring Green, WI 53588.  Says Johnson, RV students will learn how to grow their own food and understand the nutritional benefits of fresh foods produced by themselves.  They’ll benefit by working together to design the garden and develop a planting timeline, among other things. Click here for more information about the garden project and see who else is contributing.   To find out how to become a part of this energetic new sustainability team, contact Erin Crooks at [email protected].

If you are so inclined, leave a comment on our facebook page about a bill or issue on your mind.
